Tesla received an order to recall nearly 1.1 million vehicles in the USA due to a security issue with the electric windows, according to some recent sources.

Tesla Inc. proceeded with a recall for nearly 1.1 million vehicles covering all four of its models, because the electric windows can close very quickly and “catch” the fingers of drivers or passengers, according to a filing by the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The electric car manufacturer plans to fix the issue with an over-the-air update, so vehicle owners do not have to wait for the service to be performed to correct this serious problem.
The recall concerns Model 3 cars from 2017-22, Model Y cars from 2020/21, as well as Model S and Model X vehicles from 2021-22.

TheNational Highway Traffic Safety Administration) said the window reversing system (which reverses the window movement if it contacts an object) may not react quickly enough when it detects an object. The windows could close with excessive force, the filing said.
Tesla will inform owners from November 15.
