To listen to the recordings, simply tap the text you want to hear, then click the
“Play” icon.
How to delete Alexa recordings?
To delete recordings, tap the small box next to each recording (this is how you mark them, "tick" them)
Then, go to the top of the list and select “Delete selected entries”.
You can also delete data by selecting specific dates (e.g. “Today”, “This week” or “All history”). After selecting them, you click “Delete all recordings” and all recordings on those dates.
If you want to delete recordings from a specific speaker, you can select Filter By Device and select the exact Alexa gadget you're looking for.
Finally, there is the ability to delete recordings via voice command.
Just say “Alexa, delete what I just said” or “Alexa, delete everything I said today.”.
Is it necessary to delete recordings?
It's worrying that Amazon is storing a huge amount of audio data that belongs to you.
Many major social media have suffered breaches and leaks, so you can never be truly safe.
But deleting your recordings isn't always the best idea.
It enhances your security and privacy, but may negatively impact your Alexa experience.
