As we reported in our recent interview, HMD Global is preparing the ground for the return of the legendary Nokia 3310, with some specifications already leaked. The new model is expected to have almost the same design as its predecessor, with the only major difference being the weight and thickness.
While it's still hard to say exactly what the new device will look like, photos published on NPU give us a first glimpse. The image reveals a Nokia 3310 with a larger screen while the buttons and navigation pad remain the same.
What is certain is that a color screen will make the device more attractive while the lighter and thinner body seems to perfectly complement its oval design.
In the published image, next to the new Nokia 3310, a Nokia 215, which was released two years ago, is also shown. At this point, we would like to remind you that this is an unofficial photo of the new mobile phone, so it is not certain that it will actually look like this.
The new Nokia 3310 will undoubtedly feature a larger display than its predecessor's 84 x 84 pixels, though exact dimensions have not been confirmed. You'll also be pleased to know that the phone will be available in a wider range of colors, including red, green, and yellow in addition to the classic gray, black, and blue.
HMD Global is planning to equip the modern Nokia 3310 with a durable case, a feature that has stood out for so many years. It will be announced on February 26 in Barcelona and it remains to be seen which markets will have the honor of acquiring it.
