The new iOS 9.3 update is reportedly causing an unexpected bug that freezes iPhone 6s and 6s Plus whenever a user taps a link in any app running on the device. Apple has not yet commented on the issue.
The error only occurs on iPhone 6s and 6s Plus devices, but not on all devices.
Some users have reported that if someone uses Safari with JavaScript disabled the problem stops occurring.
It seems that disabling JavaScript in Safari will allow you to browse the web normally, but you should know that this trick only works in the iOS browser, and not in other apps on the phone.
This means you'll be able to browse the web with Safari and open links without your device freezing, but Mail, Notes, and other iPhone apps are likely to continue to experience issues.
Disable JavaScript
Clearly it is a temporary solution until Apple releases an update that fixes the problem.
To disable JavaScript, go to Settings > Safari > Advanced and turn off JavaScript. Be sure to turn it back on when Apple releases an update that fixes the issue.
