Although we don't hear much about Google Glass anymore, the company seems to have plans to further develop it. Google has filed a patent for a Google Glass display that can be attached to a hat.
The company is apparently looking for new ways to integrate Google Glass into existing wearables and clothing, rather than just being used as a standalone device worn by “Glassholes.”
The technology connects a hat to the screen portion of Glass magnetically.
The image below shows that the screen can have multiple views and be positioned at many different angles.
Meanwhile, Italian manufacturer Luxottica is currently preparing the second version of Google Glass, which is expected to be unveiled in April.
The Italian company's CEO Massimo Vian confirmed that the collaboration with Google is progressing, and stated that version 2 is in the works and will be ready soon, according to the Wall Street Journal.
More recently, publications have reported that Google is talking to various large companies about using Glass in businesses, such as healthcare or energy.
