dataSTICKIES , self-adhesive discs for transferring data.
They seem to be like the small post-its we know, that is, small stickers that can stick to a computer and transfer the data to the system.
The dataSTICKIES are small, thin and stack one on top of another, just like post-its. Data transfer is done via the special glue that they are coated with.
It is a “special low‑pressure adhesive and touch‑sensitive” that can be reused without leaving marks, just like post‑its.
The dataSTICKIES are made of graphene and have a capacity of up to 32 GB.
Their designer Aditi Singh and university professor Parag Anand, from New Delhi, India, are the ones who invented dataSTICKIES.
Technology is still in development, and we are not quite sure how data transfer works. We imagine that future computers will have special technology embedded in every inch of them, which will be capable of “reading” the data that comes in through the glue.
