Today, while reading the news, I accidentally came across an announcement made by the creator of Linux, Linus Torvalds, about a decade ago. Perhaps many of you already know Torvalds' opinion on the C++ programming language, and this old announcement relates to the same topic.
So in this one, which was published in September 2007, Linus Torvalds called C++ an ugly programming language. While we all know the special love for C, with all the new languages that have appeared since then, we will surely wonder why someone would prefer to write dozens of lines of code (C) while they can do the same job with just a single line of code (C++)?
In the last 25 years, Linus Torvalds has made tremendous efforts and hours of work for the world's largest open source project, the Linux kernel.

It appears that Linus had written this note as a response to some annoying Mail he had received. It starts by saying:

But it doesn't stop there. It goes on to mention that C++ is a programming language used by many inferior programmers. So, it's easy to mess around with any language and write bad code:

It’s made more horrible by the fact that a lot of substandard programmers use it, to the point where it’s much much easier to generate total and utter crap with it. Quite frankly, even if the choice of C were to do *nothing* but keep the C++ programmers out, that in itself would be a huge reason to use C.[/su_note]
It appears that Linus Torvalds doesn't need any other language, because C is sufficient for him. C fits his work and Linus will continue to “shout” at programming languages he doesn't like.
