All the information needed to hack an advanced military drone is now available online, and hackers everywhere can use this how-to guide to hijacking military drones, an Israeli defense systems manufacturer said earlier this week. The news came as a shock and added to growing concerns about drone hacking.
Drones are the new tools of war as they can perform multiple functions with ease. A manual called “Prerequisites for Successful GPS Spoofing Attacks”was released back in 2011, just a month before the downing of a CIA drone by Iran.
Esti Peshin, an Israeli government programs chief, stressed that the possibility that this manual was used for that shootdown is high.

The study explains how to feed the GPS system with false signals so that drones end up losing their ability to measure coordinates
The PDF file that was published was not intended to be malicious, but hackers could have exploited the instructions provided in the report before drone manufacturers recognized the risks and equipped drones more.
At the end of the report, many UAVs have been collected and it is stated which ones are the most dangerous compared to others. Currently, the Pentagon is working on securing the UAV Surveillance and Navigation System from external interference.
