Be My Eyes: The app to "lend" your eyes to people with vision problems - Be My Eyes is a new and very interesting appaimed at people with serious vision problems, which comes to significantly facilitate their carrying out small or larger daily processes by bringing them into contact with people who can see normally.
Its use is very simple. The blind user opens the application on their smartphone and asks for help from any volunteer with normal vision.
Once a volunteer answers, a video call automatically starts and the volunteer "lends" their eyes.
In this way, the blind person sees what is in front of them and provides them with appropriate instructions, e.g. what the expiration date is on a box, what color a piece of clothing is, which button to press for a printout, etc.
The application is available for free and can be downloaded by normal users to register as volunteers, so that they can receive calls for help.
Of course, if they receive a call and for whatever reason cannot answer, then the request is immediately transferred to another volunteer.
Be My Eyes is currently only available on iTunes for iOS devices, but the version for Android devices will soon be available.
