From love letters, to phone calls, to text messages and emails. Now, love has entered the age of social media. And thanks to them, an Irishman managed to find the girl he fell in love with at first sight, but had lost.
On a Ryanair flight from Barcelona to Dublin, 24-year-old Jamie Kelly was sitting next to 27-year-old Katie, a girl from Canada. When he, as a gentleman, offered his seat to her mother, who was traveling with him, the two young people struck up a conversation. However, at the airport passport control, he lost her. But he didn't give up.
Although he doesn't know anything about her to look for her - like her last name or phone number - he started a Twitter campaign to find her. Using the hashtags #loveatfirstflight (love at first sight) and #findkatie (find Katie), Jamie began his search and his story went viral.
In fact, the Irishman has already spoken to a radio station in his country, in the hope that she will still be there and listen to him, as his attempt to find her information from the airline has not borne fruit.
Finally, however, Katie Morrow - as they say the object of his desire - appeared and speaking to CBC News expressed her surprise. "I didn't think I would see him again, so I was surprised to see all these messages. I found it funny because all my friends are crazy about it!", he said.
In fact, as it turned out, she was also looking for the "handsome Irishman" with the "beautiful eyes," but she didn't insist too much because she was afraid she would be seen as desperate. According to Metro, the two have been chatting online ever since, as they are separated by a 10-hour flight since Katie has already returned to Canada. However, they plan to meet up soon.
