Last week, 17-year-old jailbreaker “Winocm” announced on his Twitter account that he would be working for Apple. The company hired the young jailbreaker, who managed to “port” his entire iPhone operating system to the Nokia N900.
“I had to do what Apple did originally when they were designing the iPhone OS. By recompiling the iPhone operating system from scratch, I was able to create an open source version of the operating system,” the young man said.
“It's really complicated. Usually a team of people work on such issues, but I'm just a single person, not a team.”.
This is obviously also the reason why Apple hired the 17-year-old, who is responsible for several iOS jailbreaks (with the most recent achievement being the jailbreak of iOS 6.1.5).
