Armored Cybertruck police cars, driven by police officers and private security forces, could soon be hitting U.S. roads — a scenario that Tesla CEO Elon Musk himself has repeatedly endorsed . And while fans of the massive EV have previously talked about similar projects, at least one California-based Tesla is officially advertising “ custom ” Cybertruck packages for police and other “ first responder ” customers.

In a May 30 post on the Cybertruck Owners Club , site user and sponsor “ UP_Frank ” uploaded a short video clip depicting a modified, matte gray version of the vehicle, with blue and red LED light bars flashing on its roof and sides.
Although the $60,990 base model isn't equipped for police work, Musk openly supports police officers patrolling in Cybertrucks — a possibility that was also hinted at last year by close friend and Oracle co -founder Larry Ellison .

Based in Hawthorne , California , Unplugged Performance has been selling various Tesla model modification packages since 2013. In April, however, the company entered a new market, starting with a pilot program partnership with Anaheim PD to provide multiple upgrades to local law enforcement’s Tesla Model Y police cars. UP.FIT, meanwhile, appears to be a new venture within Unplugged’s larger organization that is being touted as “ accelerated development of the next generation of police cars” intended for “American Hero’s ” and that will likely include the Cybertruck vehicles.
With the current price of the all-wheel drive Cybertruck at $79,990, it stands to reason that the combined cost for a vehicle and the new UP.FIT features could easily top $90,000. While the UP.FIT website doesn't offer price ranges, Unplugged Performance lists similar products on its online store.

It's an experience that police officers already seem excited to try out. In January, the official X account for the Rosenberg, Texas, Police Department posted two photos of a Cybertruck parked in a shopping complex near a police car.
