TikTok's photo-sharing app, Notes, is starting to roll out in a limited test in a few countries for iOS and Android.

TikTok has begun rolling out its Instagram competitor, TikTok Notes, to select Android and iOS users “for download and limited testing in Australia and Canada.” A tweet announcing the launch, as well as listings on the App Store and Google Play, showed off some official images of the app that offer clues about how it works for those of us who don’t have access yet.
In them, we see that you can write titles for images above your captions, which is a feature that Instagram doesn't offer of course.

The homepage also appears to be split into two sections, with a separate page where you can see posts from people you follow and another “For You” page. It’s organized a bit like Pinterest’s homepage but with a smaller grid. It’s not clear which posts are featured here, but they’re likely accounts similar to the ones TikTok follows that it thinks you’ll like.
Aside from these minor tweaks, however, the app is very similar to Instagram, which is a change from the norm. For years, Meta has been the one copying other social platforms like TikTok with Reels and Snapchat with Stories. With TikTok Notes, however, it seems TikTok is getting back at the copycat.

TikTok announced the new photo-sharing app earlier this month in a notification sent to users. At the time, it didn't provide many details about the app other than referring to it as TikTok Notes and indicating that TikTok would populate it with users' existing and future public photo posts unless they chose not to.
It is not certain when TikTok will release the app in Greece.
