Want to know what other users are "posting" on Threads? What's popular right now? What kind of drama is going on? If you're a person who appreciates being kept up to date on current events in the world, then you'll definitely appreciate this feature. This is a feature we've been hearing about for quite some time, so it's great to see that Threads is finally bringing it to light.
Undoubtedly, this feature is quite prevalent in the popular themes of X. When you go to the search section, you will see the hashtags that receive the highest number of tweets. They can be an indication of important events that are happening. People don't hesitate to post about political scandals, new video games, successful movies, celebrities, etc.

So the popular topics section gives you a good idea of what you probably need to know. Adam Moseri, CEO of Instagram, just posted a new thread letting us know that this new feature is finally reaching users.
In the Threads application, just click on the search icon and in the toolbar. There, you will see a list of some of the biggest popular themes. This list will be the first thing you'll see immediately below the search bar. Below that, you'll see the suggestions to follow.
As with X, when you click on a topic, you'll see all the top posts made about that topic. The section will show the top five topics, but it doesn't seem to refresh in real time like in X.

In the top right corner of the stream, you see a button with three dots. However, don't hope for customization options. You only get a small panel that lets you know what the stream of popular topics are.
This feature is widely released for everyone, so you should be able to see it with the latest update of the Threads app. If you don't have it yet, make sure you update your app.
