The Simpsons causes a stir by predicting the Apple Vision Pro – the technological revolution that brought the future into the present.
The Simpsons proves once again that they can predict the future, this time by predicting scenes of people wandering the streets using the new Apple Vision eight years before the product's launch.
Apple officially released the new Vision Pro, priced at $3,500, in stores on Friday, and fans have been posting videos using the new technology in their daily lives.

The Simpsons, with their incredible ability to predict the future, showed scenes similar to those people post online about the spread of virtual truths in society, in an episode released in 2016 titled 'Friends and Family'. Since the show first aired in 1989, The Simpsons have successfully predicted the election of Donald Trump as president, Kamala Harris's inauguration attire, Richard Branson flying into space, smartwatches and much more.
In the episode, Mr. Burns hires Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie to play his virtual family, which then becomes a technology accessible to everyone. A montage shows all of the Simpsons characters wearing virtual reality sets as they walk, stand on candles, and fall into puddles.
The school principal, Seymour Skinner, has a virtual picnic and Homer and Marge sleep side by side in their bed, virtually kissing each other.
Since the company launched the Vision Pro, the experience of using the device has been compared to an episode of the series “Black Mirror.”
Videos shared on social media show a person wearing the headset sitting on a New York City subway train typing in the air.
In San Jose, California, a man wearing white pants and a black shirt is recorded walking down the street using the headset, pausing to show things that only he can see on his screen.

In London, the video shows a man in a suit wearing the headset walking his robotic dog down the street. The headset was released alongside the iPhone 15 family in September, which the executive described as a device “that looks out, not in.”
“With Vision Pro, you are no longer limited by one screen,” he said during the event last year.
The headset runs on VisionOS, which Apple touts as “the world’s first spatial operating system.”
Apple calls it “spatial computing” because it shuffles content into the space around you.
Spatial computing is a way to describe the interaction between the physical world around us and a virtual world constructed by technology, allowing humans and machines to interact harmoniously with objects and spaces.
Performing these tasks often involves elements of augmented reality and artificial intelligence.
Apple said there are more than 600 new apps designed specifically for Vision Pro. Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations, said: “Apple Vision Pro unlocks the imagination of our global developer community, and we’re inspired by the variety of spatial experiences they’ve created for this exciting new platform.

Users can watch movies and TV shows with Vision Pro, which displays a large screen that plays the content, and they can also play over 100 Apple Arcade on a screen as large as they want.
For work purposes, the headset can be used with a trackpad and keyboard to perform tasks that would use a traditional multi-monitor computer.
VisionPro can also play back memories in your living room, like videos of your kids or a fun party you attended.
