With 151.4 million followers, Elon Musk is now the most followed personality on the X app (formerly Twitter).

Crushing some of the most followed celebrities on the platform, including former US President Barack Obama (131.9 million), Justin Beiber (111.8 million), Cristiano Ronaldo (109.1 million), Katy Perry (107.2 million), Narendra Modi (90.7 million), Donald Trump (86.5 million) and others. The 51-year-old billionaire does not have a presence on any other social platform except for perhaps a finsta (Fake Instagram) on Instagram owned by competitor Mark Zuckerberg. Meanwhile, other billionaires he is expected to compete with in terms of number of followers are Bill Gates (63.2 million), Jeff Bezos (6.3 million) and Mark Zuckerberg's unverified profile (678.2 thousand).

Elon Musk joined the app when it was still Twitter, in June 2009. After joking about acquiring the app, he joined the board last year as a majority shareholder. He offered to buy the platform and then backed out, citing a number of issues, including the high presence of bots. After a lawsuit from Twitter, Musk was forced to buy the app for a whopping $44 billion.
The company was renamed X, which was Musk's long-held vision – to build an app that covers everything. Musk believes X will be the most valuable brand on the planet.
