Artificial intelligence (AI) is gaining increasing importance and influence in technology, and major players in the tech industry are in a race to develop the most advanced AI chatbots. Google's AI chatbot, Google Bard, recently received some updates that make it more user-friendly.
One of the latest updates focuses on providing more accurate answers based on the user's location. By giving Bard access to your precise location, you can get better recommendations for nearby restaurants, bank branches, or any other places you might be looking for in your area.
This feature is in line with other Google services that use your location to better understand your preferences and deliver more relevant results, like Google Search does. According to 9to5Google, to tweak your settings, you simply need to tap on “Update location,” which is located just below the light/dark theme button. From there, you can choose whether or not to share your precise location with Bard.
Over the past month, Google has introduced several major updates to Google Bard to enhance the user experience. These include enabling Bard for Google Workspace accounts, introducing a Dark mode option for a more visually pleasing interface, and providing seamless export to Google Docs and Gmail. Google Docs has also expanded its language and country availability, adding support for Japanese and Korean in addition to US English, and now serves more than 180 countries and regions.
Recent updates to the AI chatbot also include improvements to its summarization capabilities, ensuring more concise and informative responses. Additionally, users can now more easily identify parts of responses that correspond to specific sources, thanks to the new source matching feature. Google Bard has also integrated images from Google Search into its English responses, allowing users to get visual information. And perhaps one of the most important things for users – at least for now – is that they no longer have to sign up for a waitlist to try Google Bard.
