Elon Musk 's 18-year-old son , Xavier Musk , has filed a lawsuit to change his name and gender from "male" to "female." With the name change, Musk 's son is abandoning his famous father's surname and says he no longer wants to have anything to do with the billionaire.

"I no longer live with nor do I wish to have a relationship with my biological father in any way, shape or form," she said in the application she filed for both her name change and gender reassignment.

The documents were filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court in Santa Monica in April, and recently came to light through online media.
Elon Musk's 18-year-old child was known as Xavier Alexander Musk, but now wants to be called Vivian Jenna Wilson, a name that suits him better, as he says in court documents that he wants to be officially recognized as a woman. As for the last name, she chose that of her mother, Justine Wilson, who was married to Elon Musk from 2000 to 2008. Wilson and Musk have five children.
Wilson said in a tweet on Tuesday that she is proud of her daughter.

The child's decision to renounce Elon Musk's name suggests that there is some rift in the relationship between them. However, the reasons for this rift are unknown.
In a statement to the Daily Beast, Musk criticized the media for publishing the story about his daughter and her name.
"She doesn't want to be a public figure," he said. "I think it's important to defend her right to privacy."
