Sony is planning to bring more of games from the console to PCs, according to reports.
In reports coming from the company's 2020 corporate report, it appears that Sony wrote: "We will explore expanding first-party titles for the PC platform in order to drive further growth revenue."
As you're sure to know, this follows Sony's recent decision to bring Horizon Zero Dawn to PC , which was a huge indication of the company's intentions - although the port of that particular game unfortunately had some serious problems .
Still, it remains another promising piece of feedback from Sony for those PC gamers looking to get their hands on PlayStation exclusives at some point in the future – because of course porting the games to PC will undoubtedly be delayed.
This comes after PlayStation Worldwide Studios head Hermen Hulst made a statement earlier this year, reassuring fans that Sony's new policy does not include porting every first-party game, but only those that are suitable and will work well on a PC.
"And to put some people at ease, releasing a first-party AAA title on PC doesn't necessarily mean that every game now will come to PC. In my mind, Horizon Zero Dawn was a perfect fit in that case," Hulst said.
It may seem clear that more exclusive games will be coming to your PC, but the question is which ones. Logically, it will be games that take advantage of hardware , especially on the control front, such as shooters (or action RPGs like Horizon Zero Dawn) using a mouse and keyboard.
