A new patent (PDF) filed by Sony shows that the company is trying to get in on Google's game.
According to the patent, Sony wants to develop a contact lens that will feature a built-in camera with storage space, a transmission unit, autofocus, zoom, aperture control and image stabilization.
The camera shutter will be consciously controlled if you blink, a process that the company says it will be able to differentiate from a normal blink.
What's not yet clear is how you'll control zoom, aperture, and recovery.
But given that it's just a patent and not an actual product, we're willing to forgive the lack of this information.
