Bolivian President Evo Moraleshas decided to file a lawsuit against the US government for crimes against humanity, criticizing the tactics used to intimidate its European allies. It should be recalled that the plane carrying Bolivian Prime Minister Evo Morales from flying over the airspace of several European countries after it was suspected that Edward Snowdenwas on board.
"I would like to announce that we are preparing a lawsuit against Barack Obama for crimes against humanity," Morales said during a press conference, as reported by Telesur .
Bolivia and Venezuela will “partner” against the United States in a trial to be held at the international court.
The lawsuit alleges that the entire European Union, under the direction of the United States, suspected that Edward Snowden was on board, did not allow the president's plane to land. The members of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States hope that this will be seen as an "act of intimidation by North American imperialism."
Meanwhile, the ambassadors of CELAC member countries have been asked to withdraw from the United States.
