PulsePet on Monday launched a pre-sale for its new smartbone, the GoBone, an app-controlled dog toy that keeps your pet busy and happy, even when you're not around.
Dog owners can place treats in the GoBone and then let it run automatically. The device can move around the floor on its own, inspiring the dog to chase it, chew it, nip it, or try to get the treats inside. The toy even makes behavioral adjustments based on the dog’s age, weight, breed, and play style to keep them engaged. With an battery , the smartbone can keep your pet company for a long time.
The idea came from Santiago Gutierrez, CEO and founder of PulsePet, who is a dog owner himself. He didn’t like the idea of his dog getting bored, lonely, and stressed when he had to leave, so he got creative. Not only was he able to come up with an idea that solved the issue, but he found that it had other benefits as well.
“When the toy was created, my initial goal was to keep my dog entertained while he was home alone,” said Gutierrez. “But then I realized that GoBone could also be used to improve the bond between owners and their pets through interactive games they can play together.”
Used in conjunction with the app, it serves as a means of entertainment for both humans and dogs. The toy can be switched from automatic to manual mode, giving owners control over the smartbone so they can play with their dogs themselves.
In addition to providing hours of entertainment, the GoBone – which was made to FDA specifications and eco-friendly materials – is both pet-safe and durable.
