By now, we all know that Google doesn't play April Fools' Day pranks – especially when it comes to some of its most beloved services, like Google Maps.
This year, the company has given Pegman, the orange figure from Google Maps, a makeover, dressing him in a new '70s outfit and equipping him with groovy disco dance moves.
If you visit Google Maps in your browser, you'll see that the usually featureless Pegman, used for Street View, has been transformed into a bearded guy wearing a purple disco leisure-suit.
And, it gets even better. The new version of disco Pegman will do an epic dance routine for you on your smartphone if you know where to look. Select “Visit Funky Town in the Google Maps App” from the top of Google Maps and select your phone (you’ll need to be signed into a Google in your browser and on your phone.) Then, once you open Google Maps, go to “Explore Nearby” and tap “Funky Town” to see everyone’s favorite Pegman in action. (You can also watch the video below.)

Of course, this isn't the first time Google has transformed its mapping service for April Fools' Day purposes. Last year, the company turned Maps into a giant Pac-Man.
