Firefly Aerospace's Blue Ghost spacecraft took a beautiful photo of the moon's sunrise , studying the lunar surface.
The Blue Ghost successfully landed on the moon on Sunday, March 2, after a 46-day journey. It landed near Mons Latreille, a lone lunar peak in the vast Mare Crisium. This spot is located in the northeastern region of the moon's near side.
Blue Ghost began its operations immediately after landing, deploying its scientific payloads and capturing stunning images of its environment and Earth from the lunar surface.

The most impressive photo of Blue Ghost, however, is one showing the sunrise, which appears very bright and contrasts with the shadowed craters on the moon's surface.
“ The Blue Ghost lander recorded the first sunrise on the moon, marking the start of the lunar day and the start of surface operations on its new home ,” Firefly Aerospace said in a post
The company said that many of NASA 's 10 science payloads on the craft have begun operating and will continue to operate for the next two weeks and into the lunar night. The mission's goal is to study lunar composition, geology and heat flow on the moon, as well as space weather . Blue Ghost will also test drilling technology, and its camera aims to record how lunar dust floats on the surface at sunset.

Blue Ghost was selected through Commercial Lunar Payload Services (CLPS) program, which contracts with private landers to place scientific and technological instruments on the moon, in support of the Artemis program.
The successful landing and subsequent operations of Blue Ghost on the moon mark a major milestone in commercial lunar exploration, paving the way for future missions and a potential human presence on the Moon.
