After failing to launch Venu Sports last year in partnership with Warner Bros. Discover and Fox, Disney revealed plans to launch its own standalone streaming service later this year.

During the earnings presentation earlier this week, CEO Bob Iger and CFO Hugh Johnston confirmed that Disney is working to bring ESPN+ and all ESPN networks to the market in early fall.
ESPN's flagship product will be offered through the existing ESPN app and is described as "a digital destination for sports fans unlike anything available on the market today."
There is no pricing information mentioned in the earnings, although it is believed that Disney will not only offer the standalone ESPN+ streaming service individually, but also in packages along with some of its products or other services from the competition.

It remains to be seen what will happen to Disney's ESPN and ESPN+ streaming services when the new standalone sports streaming service launches later this year. Despite its name, the ESPN+ offering does not include content from ESPN, and vice versa.
Does Disney plan to bundle these services under a single banner and prevent customers from purchasing them individually? Or will the new sports streaming service be priced more competitively to make it the best choice for sports fans?
Currently, ESPN+ is available for $11.99 per month or $119.99 per year, although Disney often runs deals that greatly reduce the monthly price of the streaming service.
