Commenting on the initiative on cybersecurity for civil society organizations, Jen Easterly, Director of CISA, emphasized that threats aim to undermine the democratic and humanitarian principles that these organizations promote.
“High-risk community organizations often face a lack of information about cyber threats and the resources needed to secure them. Working with our federal and international partners, we are making this critical resource available to help organizations gain a better understanding of the cyber threats they face and strengthen their cybersecurity,” said Easterly.

Commenting on the recent initiative, Scott-Railton said: “Historically, law enforcement and governments in democratic regimes have shown a significant delay in recognizing the imperative to address this issue, as well as in providing the necessary support to groups in immediate need.”.
