According to reports, only about 2% of Tesla who used Full Self-Driving in the free month-long trial went on to purchase it.
Since March, Tesla has offered a one-month free trial of its Full Self-Driving (FSD) package to all its owners in North America.

At the same time, the automaker has reduced the price of the package from $12,000 to $8,000, or $99 per month for those who opt for the subscription model. Interestingly, this move contradicts previous statements by Elon Musk. The Tesla CEO had previously stated that the price of the FSD package would continue to increase as the system improves.
Alongside the launch of the new v12 version of its system, Tesla made a significant price cut, representing a crucial step towards progress.
The automaker made efforts to increase adoption rates of FSD (Full Self-Driving) by offering a new version to the public through a free trial period, thus encouraging more users to try it out. The goal was to entice them to purchase or subscribe to the product, by offering a discounted price.
However, some data shows that Tesla has not really succeeded with this strategy.
To improve the pickup rate, Elon Musk has asked Tesla employees involved in delivering cars to demonstrate the Full Self-Driving (FSD) system at every delivery.
Despite the recent drop in its price, this product remains quite expensive, and its value does not seem to be apparent to the majority of people.
As mentioned earlier, the V12 has impressed us, but it’s not necessarily as practical. While it does offer some improvements, the V12 has speed limitations in a number of areas and continues to have bugs. It may provide significant value when driving on the motorway, as it reduces your workload, allowing you to focus more on driving. However, in the city, its use can prove to be more stressful.

So for now, most people are probably more comfortable with Autopilot.
