What exactly happens in the first 24 hours after you win the first‑category prize?
Besides planning how you will spend your millions, there are many important issues that concern you and you need to know.
If you are a registered user, you will receive a phone call from The Lott immediately after the draw to notify you of your win.
The Lott will then inform you about the process to receive your prize.
Next, you will be asked to claim your prize using the following methods:
1. For tickets purchased on the website or the The Lott app
Lott recommends that any grand prizes you win from entries purchased through The Lott website or app will be automatically credited to your online account.
However, winners must wait for two weeks for a reasonable period before receiving the money.
“After it is deposited here, you can withdraw your prize via a bank account of your choice,” says the company The Lott.
2. For tickets purchased in store
If you win a major prize from a ticket purchased at a store , you will need to claim it in person at one of The Lott's headquarters or have it mailed to you.

If you are unable to visit one of The Lott head offices, you can also receive your prize by mail. Simply download and complete a prize claim form, which can be found online or at your local retailer.
Next, you must send the completed Powerball prize application together with your original winning tickets to the management address listed at the top of the prize application form.
