Let's present an interesting fact we discovered this week.
We asked about the executive order on artificial intelligence: Recently, the White House issued a broad and detailed order on the responsible development and use of artificial intelligence. The order includes recommendations for federal agencies and directs Congress to act on a variety of policy goals.
What we found: There is strong support, even across political parties, for most of the initiatives. Over 70% of Democrats and Republicans support developing standards to oversee the safety of AI systems, establishing best practices for AI content screening, providing clear guidance for housing and other federal programs to prevent AI from being used to discriminate against people, and working with other countries to support responsible AI development.
The latter is already underway. Several nations, including the US and China, met in the UK this month and issued a statement that expressed concern but did not actually create policy guidelines. They will meet again in six months, which one might cynically point out, in AI time, is a million years from now.

Even ChatGPT 4.0 predicts that the next six months will see continued growth in trends, shaping artificial intelligence as an increasingly important part of the world of technology and business.
One proposal to increase funding for AI research is to break down the existing divide. This proposal has the support of 60% of Democrats, while only 43% of Republicans support it.
