Lidl is recalling four PAW Patrol children's snacks across the UK. However, the reason for the recall is not related to the contents of the snacks, as is usually the case, but to the presence of a URL on the packaging that displays pornographic content.
PAW Patrol is a children's animated television series that airs in the US, UK and around the world. It is so popular that many products inspired by the series have been created, including the four snacks being recalled by Lidl.

Lidl stores in the UK began recalling four PAW Patrol snacks last month due to a packaging issue. A website printed on the snack packaging was hacked and is now displaying inappropriate content.
This is particularly concerning considering that these snacks feature cartoon characters from a popular children's television series and are marketed to children.
“Four Paw Patrol snack items are being recalled by Lidl after a URL listed on the back of the packaging was compromised and displays content unsuitable for children. Customers should return the products to their nearest Lidl store for a full refund,” warned Which?, a British consumer rights service.

According to BleepingComputer, the domain in question was named after Appy Kids Co, the company that produces retail products tailored for children.
The domain appykidsco.com displayed adult content, but only on mobile devices. When accessed from a computer, the site displayed a notice in Chinese that said “temporarily unavailable.”
In the announcement , Lidl says it is recalling the PAW Patrol snacks after being informed of the problem with the packaging and advises customers not to visit the inappropriate website.
“We recommend that customers refrain from viewing the URL and return this product to their nearest store for a full refund.“.
