Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has announced that it will be adding a new map to its second season, something that apparently wasn't planned. The Call of Duty series is known for having some of the most epic maps in shooter history. Many of these come from the 2009 Modern Warfare 2, and while fans have been clamoring for some of them to be remastered, there's a sense that they're relying too heavily on old maps in Call of Duty right now. Shoot House and Shipment have already been added, and Dome, which is an old map. The only "new" map was the Museum, which was in beta and therefore doesn't feel "fresh."

However, Infinity Ward has confirmed that there will be a brand new, never-before-seen map coming with Season 2.The new map still doesn't have a name as it wasn't supposed to be released yet, but the team said it was tested and working well, which is why it's coming out earlier than expected. The map, from the first image released by the Call of Duty team, appears to be some kind of resort spa . That's all we can tell, but at least we know that new content will be released in the game in the coming weeks .
Suggestion: Call of Duty: Warzone is coming to mobile devices

The second season is expected to last 55 days, which means it will end around April. So it is very likely that this map will be released somewhere around March. As for the third season, it seems that it will come and bring with it a long-awaited mode in Modern Warfare 2 along with new maps, the Gunfight mode will make its big return. So far, no further details have been announced , but it is good that the content that fans want is in the plans.
