Discord voice integration on PlayStation 5 is a long-awaited feature. The feature already exists on Xbox Series X|S and has now been released on PS5. This added convenience means you don't need to create a PS Party to talk to friends on Discord, but can join directly from your console.

Discord voice integration on PlayStation 5
With the PS5, you can now join voice calls via Discord integration. A Reddit user posted photos of the app in action, which show that you can join a voice call on the PlayStation 5.
As you can see from the screenshots, Discord is adding a group chat feature to the PS5. This will allow you to easily transfer your Discord calls from your computer/mobile to the PS5 so you can continue talking to your friends. The integration won't be coming to the PS4, though, which makes sense considering it struggles with multitasking.

The screenshots also show how to add the integration via the Discord mobile app. To do this, simply follow these steps within the app: sign in with your PlayStation account, link it to your PlayStation 5, log in to voice chat – and you're good to go.
The new feature won't replace the voice chat that PlayStation offers, but through the integration, players can use Discord channels to communicate, which disables in-game chat.

PS5 gamers seem to be rejoicing! The long-awaited Discord integration feature is now live and working perfectly. Only time will tell if the integration is as successful on PlayStation 5 as it was for Xbox.
