New Mac buyers in Australia, Canada, and Japan can now get AppleCare+ through an annual plan.
A year after making the option widely available in the US, Apple has now brought its annual AppleCare+ to more countries. Instead of the previous three-year upfront commitment, new Mac users can get all the benefits of AppleCare+ insurance for an annual subscription.
Just like with the US, however, Apple charges more for the convenience of having a lower initial outlay.

In Canada, for example, AppleCare+ for an M2 MacBook Air can now be purchased for CA$99.99 ($77) per year or CA$269 ($207) for three years. That makes the annual subscription $24 more expensive over the course of three years.
It's the same $24 difference over three years for the most expensive AppleCare+ coverage a MacBook Pro .
There are slight differences in how AppleCare+ is handled in different countries, but the overall benefit is the same. If you travel a lot with MacBook , you should consider getting AppleCare+ for it. The protection plan covers two incidents of accidental damage every 12 months. The coverage will give you extra peace of mind if you ever drop your Mac.

However, you will have to pay a service fee (at a steep discount) for any repairs. The amount varies from device to device. For most Macs, Apple charges $129 for a screen replacement and $379 for other damage.
Users must either purchase AppleCare+ at the same time as their new Mac or within 60 days of purchase.
