COSMOTE fixed line subscribers, both residential and corporate, for whom the upgrade is technically possible, will be transferred to the next commercially available Internet, maintaining the same price. In particular, subscribers with an economic speed plan of up to 24Mbps, up to 50Mbps and up to 100Mbps, will be upgraded to speeds of up to 50Mbps, up to 100Mbps and up to 200Mbps respectively, without having to take any action and without any change in the duration of their contract or monthly fixed fee. The upgrade will be carried out depending on each connection either automatically and remotely, or in some cases after technical implementation and communication with the subscribers. Subscribers for whom the upgrade is possible will be informed, immediately after its completion, through their fixed line account, the My COSMOTE App and by text message (sms). The development of FTTH
The fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) infrastructure of the COSMOTE Fiber network is growing dynamically. With a significant increase in total investments to over 3 billion euros by 2027, OTE Group is bringing FTTH to 3 million homes and businesses. By implementing this hugely important project, the Group will cover approximately 2/3 of Greece’s fiber-to-the-home lines, thus responding to current and future needs and creating new prospects for the country’s digital development. Today, FTTH lines in the COSMOTE Fiber network exceed 600,000, while by the end of 2022 they will reach approximately 1 million.
