Manjaro Linux 17.0 Gellivara

Philip Müller, lead developer of the Manjaro Project, has announced the release of Manjaro Linux 17.0 Gellivara, the latest stable version of the Arch-based distribution.

The Manjaro Linux 17.0 Gellivara officially features KDE and Xfce as default desktops, but also several "flavors" developed by the community (Budgie, Cinnamon, Deepin, GNOME, i3, LXQt).Manjaro Linux 17.0 Gellivara

This release updates the KDE Plasma desktop to version 5.9.3:

“The KDE release continues to offer a powerful, mature and feature-rich desktop environment with a unique look and feel, and with the benefits of the latest Manjaro tools. The Plasma 5.9 desktop combined with the latest KDE 16.12 applications is a huge step forward in making everything play together smoothly, giving the user the same experience and feel as the KDE 4 releases of the past. The Manjaro Manager settings provide an easy-to-use graphical interface for installing and removing the many kernels we offer.”

It should be mentioned that the new Manjaro Linux 17.0 Gellivara comes with the updated version of the calamares installer, wears Linux Kernel 4.9 LTS, and much more.
