Pakistanis hack Google!

The Bangladesh domain has recently been one of the biggest victims of hacking as according to sources a group of Pakistani hackers managed to infiltrate the Google and publish their own message. The hackers belonging to the Team Pak Cyber Attackers group managed to take over the Google search engine in Bangladesh and publish a mocking message about the company's security systems.Google

According to the same sources, the breach was carried out through DNS hijacking, a similar method to that used in the past by other hackers to disrupt Google's website, with the Vietnam homepage being a typical example.

In this particular breach, the attackers posted the slogan “Pakistan Zindabad” on Google’s homepage, which translates to “Long Live Pakistan.” Specifically, the message read, “Hacked by Faisal 1337. Google Bangladesh is being sabotaged by Team Pak Cyber Attackers. Security is an illusion. Long Live Pakistan.”

As expected, Google acted quickly to restore access to its website as quickly as possible. It is not yet clear, however, how long the distorted website remained exposed.

At this point it is not known whether the Pakistani hackers simply wanted to circumvent Google's security system or if there was an ulterior motive. However, since the attack was carried out via DNS hijacking, no information was compromised.

It is worth noting that similar DNS hijackings on high-profile websites owned by Google and Microsoft were committed last year. The Google and MSN domains located in the Pitcairn Islands were attacked through the publication of a similar message.
