Antergos is a modern, elegant, and powerful operating system based on Arch Linux. It was initially released under the name Cinnarch, combining the Cinnamon desktop with the Arch Linux distribution.
Since then, the project has progressed from its original goals and offers many different desktop options, including: GNOME 3 (default), Cinnamon, Razor-qt and Xfce. Antergos has its own graphical installer.
The operating system, like all forks of Arch Linux, is not suitable for novice Linux users. If you have already worked with Linux (even with Ubuntu or Mint) you will not have much difficulty.
As mentioned above, Antergos has its own graphical installer, Cnchi. The installer boots into a GNOME desktop, but during installation it gives you the option to choose between several different desktop environments such as: GNOME 3, Cinnamon, Mate, KDE, Xfce, and Openbox.
A network connection is required to start the installation as the Cnchi installer is automatically updated before it begins.
Today Antergos released a new updated version: Antergos 2016.11.20 ISOs are available for download.
