LG today unveiled its first Firefox OS smartphone. Called the Fireweb, it's a 4-inch phone that runs Mozilla's mobile operating system.
The LG Fireweb will be an entry-level smartphone for users who aren't looking for fancy features. It features an HVGA TFT touchscreen, a 1GHz Qualcomm 3G processor, and 2GB of storage, which limits the number of apps you can run on the device. It has a 5MP camera, LED flash, and a 480x320px display.
Firefox OS will come with a web browser, calendar, a few apps – as well as the Firefox Marketplace. Companies already supporting Firefox OS sales include eBay, Wikipedia, Fox Sports and Facebook.
Its price is expected to reach $200.
