We all know that parents can do anything to protect their children . In Australia , there has been a phenomenon where parents hire private detectives and pay up to $800 a day to track down and deal with Facebook users who are harassing their children . According to parents and authorities , they are not doing enough to stop this type of harassment .
“There are two things I do,” said Australian private investigator Jason King. “I find out some things and send them to the familyso they can choose what to do with the information, or I give it to the school or the police to deal with. I have also reported several pages and they have already been shut down. ”
According to private investigators interviewed by The Daily Telegraph, almost all those who harass or bully young children stop their activities when confronted by an investigator. But again, these drastic measures raise the question:
What can Facebook do to prevent cyberbullying , and why should schools and police take the necessary measures ?
Investigator Jason King said he receives, on average, three calls a day regarding bullying and harassment on Facebook.
