Samsung has announced the production of SSDs with 3-bit per cell 3D vertical NAND (TLC V-NAND) technology, which promises significantly cheaper models.
In addition to the reduced price, Samsung's new SSDs that will incorporate the new technology will be faster and more reliable, showing the way to other companies and ultimately the gradual elimination of "traditional mechanical hard drives.".
Samsung's upcoming SSD 850 EVO is likely to incorporate the new technology, as seen in the leaked photo.
It should be noted that Samsung launched the SSD 850 Pro in the Greek market with the company's V-NAND technology. The technology described above is the evolution of V-NAND.
