New research shows trends in the way Greeks consume... television content. Food for thought (for television) are provided by the findings of research on the transformation of the way people watch and consume television content.
According to "Ta Nea", the trend of a portion of consumers shifting from the traditional way of entertainment, i.e. through channels, to entertainment through online digital broadcasts (streaming) seems to be crystallizing.
Although television is still the dominant entertainment medium, the option of watching audiovisual programs on new media (smartphones, tablets, home and laptop computers) via the internet is gaining ground over time.
The choice of watching via digital transmission in 2014 stood at 86% compared to 77% for television, according to the responses given in personal interviews by people regardless of gender - a representative sample of the country's population - in the questionnaire survey by Ericsson's ConsumerLab.
