Meta CEO Mark Zuckerbergrevealed that senior Biden administration officials pressured him to have his company's social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp) censor content related to COVID-19 during the pandemic.
In a letter yesterday, Zuckerberg told the U.S. House Judiciary Committee that he regretted not speaking up about the situation sooner and that he gave in to pressure. He added that he would not do it againif something similar happened.

“administration officials Biden, including the White House, repeatedly pressured our teams for months to censor specific content about COVID-19, such as humor and satire. They expressed great disappointment when we did not agree,” Zuckerberg wrote in the letter, which was posted by the Judiciary Committee on its Facebook page.
"I believe the government pressure was wrong and I regret that we were not more honest about it," he continued. "I also believe that we made some choices that we would not make today."
