The ability to perceive cyber threats is now a pressing need. This has been intensified by the increasing threats that have become even more targeted and dangerous due to artificial intelligence and its rapid development. French startup Filigran, a company specializing in cybersecurity, is urging companies to leverage the ability to perceive and manage threats.
Filigran raised €15 million in funding, which came just six months after the initial €5 million round, with participation from existing investors Moonfire Ventures and Motier Ventures.

The French startup plans to open offices in the US and Australia in 2024, with a focus on developing new strategic partnerships. It aims to accelerate the adoption of Filigran’s solutions by organizations in North America and Asia-Pacific, as well as provide local customer support.
Filigran will expand its XTM portfolio with the new XTM solution to be launched in 2024. In addition, the company will strengthen its Big Data and AI teams, attracting new talent and enriching its XTM solutions. It currently has 40 employees and plans to grow the team to 70 by the end of this year.
Threat management
Filigran seeks to develop innovative open source solutions, specifically designed to address the complex problems organizations face in predicting cyber risks and threats.

Samuel has over 15 years of experience in threat analysis and cyber risk management, including his collaboration with the French National Service for Information and Security of Information Systems (ANSSI). Julien, on the other hand, has over 20 years of experience, while also developing software capable of processing large volumes of data.
The company develops an open source platform, which aims to enhance threat perception and data management in cyberspace.
The company’s solutions have helped thousands of public and private organizations worldwide, of which more than 4,200 have used these solutions. Filigran’s clients include global companies such as Marriott, Thales, Hermès, Airbus, Novartis, Bouygues Telecom, as well as public entities such as NYC Cyber Command, the FBI, the European Commission, ENISA and the Dutch police. It has created a strong network of partners, including Deloitte, Orange Cyberdefense, Deepwatch, Arctic Wolf, Atos, Wavestone and Intrinsec.
