Ubiquiti is a popular networking device manufacturer that offers a cloud, where administrators can manage all their devices from a single cloud portal.

The first report of these issues was made yesterday, when a Ubiquiti customer mistakenly received a notification via UniFi Protect from someone else's security camera.

I’m seeking advice on a strange situation we’ve been having with UniFi Protect. Recently, my wife received an alert from UniFi Protect that contained an image from a security camera,” a Reddit post states. “However, this camera does not belong to us.

To make matters worse, another Ubiquiti customer reports that when he logged into the UniFi Site Manager website to manage his devices, he saw 88 devices from another customer's.

A similar experience happened to other Reddit users, who report that they connected and accessed someone else's UDM Pro and were able to manage the device and create additional wireless networks.

In both cases, after the portal website was refreshed, the devices typically associated with their accounts appeared. Ubiquiti says it will issue an announcement once the review is complete. Employees have already begun gathering information from Reddit and the company's forums, contacting affected customers to learn more about what happened.

A comment from a Ubiquiti representative on Reddit states: “This is not expected behavior. We have reached out via the Reddit chat to gather more details and our team will look into this immediately.”

Some customers are skeptical about whether this is actually the case, arguing that Ubiquiti should allow time for the issue to be investigated.

However, other customers are annoyed that Ubiquiti is not making a public statement or listing it as a potential issue on the company's network status page, considering that users are reporting that they can modify others' network settings.

UniFi routers offer a variety of essential features that help you manage and control your network. One of their key features is the ability to provide a secure and reliable internet for your users. This means they can enjoy high speeds and a stable connection, while being protected from threats and malware.

Another important feature of UniFi routers is the ability to manage data traffic on your network. You can assign priorities to specific applications or devices, allowing them to have priority in using the network bandwidth. This is especially useful when you have multiple devices using the network at the same time and you want to ensure that certain applications or devices have priority in accessing the network.

In addition, UniFi routers also provide advanced security features. You can create custom security rules for your network, restricting access to specific websites or applications. This can help protect your users from malware or online threats. In addition, you can create security alerts to be notified if there are attempts to breach your network security.

Finally, UniFi routers also provide management and control capabilities for your network through a flexible and responsive interface. You can monitor your network traffic, manage connections, and configure your router settings. This gives you complete control and flexibility to tailor your network to your needs and achieve the best performance and security.
