If you don't want certain people to follow you on Twitter but don't want to block them, you can simply remove them from your follower list. The process is easy and can be done in a few clicks.

The old and new methods of removing followers on Twitter
Twitter launched the ability to remove followers in September 2021. Previously, if you wanted to remove a follower, you had to block them. This meant that the user was removed from your follower list, could not follow you again, and could not see your tweets.

With the new method, you can remove someone from your follower list without blocking them. The platform doesn't notify the user when you remove them from your follower list, but they may notice and choose to follow you again. In this case, you may want to block them to avoid them completely.
How to remove someone from your follower list (desktop)
To delete a follower from your Twitter profile on a Windows, Mac, Linux, or Chromebook computer, use the desktop website Twitter.

- First, open a browser on your computer and then open the Twitter site.
- Log in to your account.
- On the left sidebar of Twitter, click on “Profile” (person icon).
- Your profile page will open. Here, under your profile information, click on “Followers” to see the list of your followers.
- Find the follower you want to remove. Then, next to that user's name, click the three dots.
- A menu will appear . Click on “ Remove this Follower ”.
- You will see a “Remove this Follower” prompt. Here, click on the “Remove” option.
Make sure you really want to remove this follower before clicking “Remove.” After that, Twitter will remove the user from your follower list.

How to remove someone from your Twitter followers list (mobile)
If you're using an iPhone, iPad, or Android, use the Twitter mobile site to remove a follower from your list.
- To do this, open a browser on your phone, then open the Twitter site. Log in to your account.
- In the top left corner, tap profile icon .
- An “ Account Info ” menu will open on the left. Here, select “ Followers .”
- On the Followers page, you'll find a list of all the people who follow you. To remove someone from this list, find them and tap the three dots next to their name.
- A menu will open. Tap “Remove this Follower.”
- A “ Remove this Follower ” message will open . Select “ Remove ”.
