Twitter is constantly evolving as a service. Whether it’s introducing a paid subscription option that adds an “undo” button or deleting Fleets from the app forever, it’s been a busy, ever-evolving year for the social network. A new beta test for Twitter is introducing various like and dislike options specifically for replies, though only time will tell if these tools will roll out to the wider public.

According to Twitter’s support account, the app is testing this interface with a small selection of users on iOS. Different variations are available, including the standard arrows and thumbs up and down, with the odd option being a mix of the current “Like” heart and a downvote icon. These won’t appear on standalone tweets, and only upvotes will be visible to the general public (as a tweet you like). Downvotes won’t be visible to the public for now.

Many users are noticing similarities between these new voting options and Reddit, including the site's social media manager, who responded to the company's tweet.
