Microsoft released a new update for SwiftKey, which at this point is still one of the best, if not the best, keyboard apps for iPhone.
The reason for version 2.1.2 is that it introduces a feature that paves the way for larger improvements that will likely be introduced later this year after the release of the Windows 10 Creators Update for PCs.
The iOS keyboard app now supports Microsoft accounts, and while at first glance this may not seem like a big deal, it could actually be the first step towards a cloud clipboard that works with Windows 10 PCs.
Let's not forget that Microsoft has promised to offer synchronization features between phones and Windows 10 PCs, and Microsoft Account integration is one of the prerequisites.
Essentially, in a short time the clipboard could provide cloud and Microsoft Account support, thus allowing users to transfer content to Windows 10 devices.
In addition to Microsoft Account support, SwitptKey version 2.1.2 also introduces new fixes for accessibility bugs as well as a patch for the size issue on the iPhone 8.
It should be noted that SwiftKey is one of the top keyboard apps on both iOS and Android, with the iPhone version alone having over 13,000 reviews on the App Store with an overall rating of 3.5/5 stars. The current version has been rated 4.5 stars.
The app has one of the best autocorrect engines, offering support for a wide range of language options, emoji, and themes. And now, thanks to Microsoft, it's also available on Android devices.
