Who are Team Minders? In Sochi, Russia, where the recent Winter Olympics were held, the 11th Educational Robotics Olympiad was held with the theme: "Robots and Space".
There, Greek students had the opportunity to demonstrate their rich talent and scientific background, representing our country worthily after they managed to stand out among a total of 100 entries from around the world.
The creative thinking, the ability to handle all modern technologies and the team spirit of the Greek mission 'Team Minders' under the guidance of coach Mr. Moraitis prevailed and awarded the Greek students (Agoropoulos Stelios, Lessis Alexandros, Eleftheriadis Dimitris, Taukis Iasonas and Zafeiris Orfeas) the 7th place in the Open category of the educational robotics competition.

This is a significant distinction as the WRO (World Robot Olympiad) competition provides the opportunity for students aged 8 – 18 to understand the Natural Sciences, Technology, Engineering, and Computer Science, allowing them to engage in a problem-solving process using all modern robotics technologies available today.

The teams for the 2015 Olympiad will be selected from the 7th Panhellenic Competition, which is organized by WRO Hellas (wrohellas.gr & FB / WRO Hellas) in collaboration with the Regional Education Directorates of our country and is held next June, under the auspices of the Ministry of Education.
The winners of each category (from Elementary to High School), will renew their appointment for the next Robotics Olympiad, in Qatar, in 2015.
Let us all support our country's effort to highlight the next scientists who will raise Greece to the scale of innovation, by participating in the Panhellenic Educational Robotics Competitions.
