Last Monday, May 23, a hacker operating under the pseudonym Amar^SHG (formerly Kuroi'SH) defaced France's most visited weather website, Météo France.
The message of the distortion was something we rarely see these days among hackers – a message of peace and love.
With most hackers plastering their name all over a website's homepage, their logo, or some kind of message filled with xenophobic hate, there is still hope for some positive hacktivism in the world.
Specifically, Softpedia spoke with Amar^SHG, who says he used an SQL injection on the extranet of Météo France's registrar, a company called OXYD, to display the message that led to the website being corrupted.
“It was easy for me, I had access to everything,” said Amar^SHG. He didn’t steal any other data from OXYD, but he says the company moved quickly to resolve this issue and everything was back in place within hours.
Amar^SHG claims that in the past, he had hacked a Kennedy Space Center NASA server, Canal+, and the US military domain usuhs.mil

“If the world could be perfect…. In a cultured and intelligent society, I still see madness and horror like in a war. What is the point? People remain people, the world still burns… You are only a small part of the population, you always see your problems first, you are not happy with what your country offers you. But I understand you: you are just people. As long as there are minds in this world, it will never be perfect. The solution in my opinion is to accept the sadness, because when we are not perfect, we are forced to live with it. The best we can do is this current society, if you have problems in your life, you will know: live, you will never be perfect… Sick world, but I hope. “
