To solve this problem, a 23-year-old Cryptocat developer, Nadim Kobeissi, is set to release a simple solution to deliver strong encryption at the HOPE hacker conference in New York later this month, which may soon come as an extension for Google Chrome, Wired reports.
The encryption program has been named miniLock, and it is a free and open-source browser add-on designed to allow anyone to encrypt and decrypt files in seconds, using a drag-and-drop interface, with nearly unbreakable cryptographic protection technology.
The miniLock encryption program can be used for all types of files, from multimedia to documents, even items stored on a USB drive, and encrypts the files for secure storage on Dropbox or Google Drive.
